The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 25 - Chilled Christmas Cha

This week the hosts of the GRcade Twitchcast are Jazzem, Mattking85, Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

This week Doom and Pedz start the Twitchcast to talk about Christmas. Well, it's more about what Christmases in the past have really stuck in their memory. The stories that are told are generally very happy stories. Though Doom does have a saddening story about him and his Grandfather.

The chat turns to Game of the Year. Booth Doom and Pedz are sort of at a loss. While both have played a fair few games, most have been from previous years. They did narrow it down in the end, though.

Doom then Asks Pedz the question, what if anything in the gaming space left an impression on you? Pedz has a think and both Doom and Pedz discuss what had left impressions on them, both positive and negative.

Unfortunately, Doom has to leave, but Matt and soon after Jazzem joins to talk about their happy Christmas game memories. They also talk about their Games of the Year and again the question s asked if anything left an impression on you. There are actually quite a few things talked about between Matt, Jazzem and Pedz.

It was a little different this week in that Pedz suggested playing some games while doing the Twitchcast in hope that it would have a different feel to the normal as while no Christmas games played it was thought that having a slightly different feel to the Twitchcast would be nice when talking about Christmas experiences.

This is a community podcast streamed live to Twitch (http://www.twitch.tv/grcadeuk). The community is the video games forum GRcade (https://grcade.co.uk). Why not check out the forum and get involved with the discussion about Games + Stuff?

The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 24

This week, only The Doom Spoon is available to take part in the Twitchcast.

Doom has a lot to talk about too. First off there's the State of Play, which had Sony show a few new games.

Afterwards, there was the Nindies, or as it's fairly recently changed to Indie World. Which again shows a fair few new titles and gives date s for some already announced things.

Lastly, there are the Game Awards. Doom goes through the announcements and then goes through the awards. Doom seems to be very angry at Disco Elysium, for some reason.

The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 23: Playing Games and Singing

This week Jenuall, Pedz, The Doom Spoon and Victor Mildew are your wonderful hosts.

The conversations start with Half-Life: Alyx, and reminiscing about Half-Life in general and some VR chat too.

We then have Victor Mildews Debut of his second Christmas song. The opening song was his first.

Victor has to leave us again here as he is unwell, has work the next and has to walk his doggo. The guys continue to talk games though and they move onto Poké... No, no Pokémon this week, the chat is actually about Sonic the Hedgehog. There have been a fair few things unearthed by people when it comes to Sonic Prototypes and the guys like Sonic and are all interested in looking at things that 'may have been but did not come to pass'.

Lastly, when the topic changes again, its focus is not on a particular game or series, but it goes back to a subject from a previous week and that is talking about game streaming, Stadia, Xcloud are Amazon coming into the fray? What do the guys think? Are they getting paid for the things they are saying about Amazon?

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 22 - X019, Cloud Wars and Controversy

The week your hosts for the GRcade Twitchcast are The Doom Spoon and Pedz.

The conversation starts with the Xbox event that was in London - X019. The guys go through the announcements at the show, but as neither saw it all live, they didn't see every announcement. However, they did see the majority of the games; they were:

Grounded
Everwild
Sea of Thieves

Some of the games shown coming to Gamepass

Bleeding Edge
Tell Me Why
Halo: Reach
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Age of Empires IV
Minecraft Dungeons
Wasteland 3
Kartrider

With X019 talking about Project Xcloud and Google's Stadia service launching both before the Twitchcast, Doom and Pedz together think it would be a good idea to discuss them both. Stadia is seemingly having a bad launch and Project Xcloud is still in a beta stage, gradually being rolled out to more people.

Lastly, the conversation turns to Pokémon Sword & Shield, in which the guys discuss the game and some of the controversy surrounding it after its launch.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 21 - Simply Chatting Games

This week Victor Mildew and Pedz start the GRcade Twitchcast and The Doom Spoon joins a little later into the show.

The topic of conversation starts with Victor detailing his experience with Borderlands 3 and how he and his wife have enjoyed playing it together, even though there were issues with the game on a technical level, along with how he thinks the game compares to the previous 2 in the way the game plays and if anything has really changed from the last 3 borderland games... BUT, what about all those guns? Did they change things up for Victor and Mrs Victor or did they simply select the guns that do the most damage and the wackier items go unused? Well, Victor does tell you about this too.

After Borderlands 3 chat Victor is eager to talk about his experience with Luigi's Mansion 3. He says he has yet to finish the game but believes it's worth talking about. The previous Luigi's Mansion games are talked about and Victor explains if the LM3 is like the first 2 in how they play, while also explaining about how Luigi's Mansion turned his head towards the Game Cube.

Talk moves over to a retro title that Pedz has played and finished recently. The game is Super Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. Pedz had played a few levels in the past but didn't really give a long session. Victor is also a fan of the game, and both discuss how it differs to Mario Land 1 & 2 and how Wario's playstyle is a very interesting change from the norm with how Mario and Luigi are to play as. The ending is also talked about and we get to hear just what ending Pedz got.

Doom arrives during the Wario Land chat, but the topic soon moves to Sonic Lost World. This is a game that Pedz recently finished. It's a 3D Sonic game and that usually means the game is likely bad to very bad on the 'how good is this game?' scale. Pedz does have some positive things to say about this one though. Maybe playing Sonic 06 and Boom back-to-back broke his mind?

Unfortunately, this is where the wonderful Victor leaves us in this episode of the Twitchcast, but Pedz and The Doom Spoon carry on talking games and it's another game played by Pedz. The game is Paw Patrol On a Roll. Well, I don't know what Pedz was thinking he would get with the game, but, he certainly expected a game with a little challenge even if it is for young children, and who'd have thought there'd be SO MUCH voice acting? Pedz was shocked by all the chatter.

Doom finally gets to talking about one of the things he played recently, and the first game is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. He says there's the 'odd' glitch that is an issue, but overall the game is a positive experience for him.

We have Doom now talking about Ghost Recon Breakpoint, with the issues the game has, Ubisoft apologising for cocking up, but the chat generally turns to glitches, general issues, betas basically being demos before getting back on track.

Next up is a game called Farm Together, and this is an online game where you do farming and seemingly you can open or close our farm to random people to join in and help you out. How does Doom cope with randoms in his farm spending all of his money? There's a simple solution that seems like a really good way to keep things friendly and stop people from abusing your things.

Pedz leaves briefly here for a toilet break, but Doom keeps talking to chat and he is asked about Arsenal, as in the football team.

When Pedz gets back the focus shifts back to video games and chat asks what are the hosts thought's on if Activision were to sell the Single Player at the fraction of the price of the full game. Pedz and Doom have a short chat about it, and if they'd be more interested or willing to buy CoD if you could buy the game in 2 parts.

We then have the retro title that was meant to be talked about several weeks ago, but with Doom and Pedz having various things come up in real life it was always pushed back. Well, Kirby's Dream Course, which was chosen by Mattking85 in the twitch chat finally was discussed. The interesting thing is Doom and Pedz both had wildly different views on the game. Afterwards, a new retro game is chosen for Doom and Pedz to play. Doom has not played it, but Pedz has.

Lastly, there's a little chat about Pokemon Sword and Shield, which is out the next Friday after this was streamed.

If you want to check out the glitches mentioned by Mattking85, then go to GRview (http://grview.grcade.co.uk/uncategorize ... ting-games) and the link is in the article.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 20 - Enter the Dolphin!

Pedz is joined by Tafdolphin, who is making his first Twitchcast appearance. hough those that listened to the GRcade Podcast 2.0 will recognize Taf.

The conversations or at least the topics that are the main focus this week are a few games Taf and Pedz had played. Taf wanted to talk about Outer Worlds and a game called Disco Elysium. Comparing how the way conversation tree and action in games are done in both games and why he prefers the latter games way of doing it.

Pedz talks about a few games he played, but, but where horror games which also segued into the Horror/Halloween theme, which while a few days after Halloween had happened, the guys thought why not talk about horror. We all like horror, bar Doom, the baby.

The third topic sees Pedz and Taf talk about Blizzcon, which leads to a little political chat about Hong Kong and Blizzard's attitude and apology.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 19 - A Dmelly Solo Session!

This week the Twitchcast is hosted solo by The Doom Spoon.

This week Doom talks about Fortnite going offline. Is one of the biggest games at the moment going offline is a big risk?

Another thing that's talked about is Bethesda and id Softwares delay of Doom Eternal. Whether it's good, bad, necessary. If the delay and it still not being up to scratch will be worse than a no delay and it not being up to scratch.

There's a section of Doom checking some GRcade topics to see who smells, which is different, but, it's pretty fun.

The last topic is quite different from the norm. It's video game related, but, it's also very political in that it's about Blizzard and the banning of a Hearthstone player for speaking out against China's oppression of Hong Kong.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 18 - One Foot in the GRave!

The Doom Spoon and Pedz are joined by Victor for hosting duties.

This week the guys talk about the Pokemon 24 hour mystery stream and was it worth a 24-hour stream for what appears to be a reveal of a Galar variant of a generation one Pokemon?

The discussion then turns to the Fallout Legacy Collection. What are the thoughts of the guys? Does this sound good? Is it a coincidence that Obsidian's name game is being released on the 25th of October and this so happens to come out the same day?

Ubisoft and the Microtransactions in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the next topic of discussion. There are some mixed views on this.

Unfortunately, Victor had to leave due to the time and then remembering he works on a Monday and will be shattered, but Doom and Pedz continue to talk (do they ever stop?) and the conversation move's over to the GRcade Video Game Eliminator. The top spot is somewhat predictable, but, What does Doom think overall?

Playstation Now is also a topic tonight. The guys think Sony may have now realised that the service may be viable after looking at Xbox Gamepasses success.

Lastly, there's a little chat about Alphadream. They were the creators of the Mario and Luigi series but unfortunately filed for bankruptcy in the week.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 17 - The Name Will Come Later!

The hosts of this weeks GRcade Twitchcast are Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

This week the guys talk about the latest Playstation State of Play. The games they've shown, whether it was engaging enough did anything pique anyone's interest?

After that, the chat turns to the Inside Xbox Presentation and again similar things are discussed about this as they were the State of Play, were they more interested in this?

Lastly, it's been 2 weeks since Robocop Versus Terminator was picked as a game that both will replay and see if it still holds up and whether nostalgia is a back part of that. Both have played the game, but, does it hold up? Pedz also played the NES prototype game and that's rather different. During the podcast, there was footage from the game shown, which you can see on YouTube if you are interested in seeing some of the points made when looking at it.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 16 - The Root of All Evil!

The hosts of this weeks GRcade Twitchcast are Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

This week the conversation starts with the chat about The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. A game that Pedz has played back on the Gameboy and Doom is playing for the first time. The chat is more about the controversy surrounding the framerate issues, than the gameplay.

Moving on to the second topic is Untitled Goose Game, where Pedz talks briefly about his short play session on it. While Doom hasn't played it, he's got the game and is rather intrigued by it.

Then lastly we have The Guardians top 50 games of the 21st century to talk about. Unfortunately, the chat is rather quick as Doom had personal commitments and it resulted in Pedz just telling games to fuck off so they could move on quickly to another game.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 15 - Catching Up! (FIXED)

The hosts of this weeks GRcade Twitchcast are Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

It's been a while since the last GRcade Twitchcast, in fact, there hasn't been one since E3. Doom has been busy and has had a few issues and Pedz has been lazy. Basically, this is just a catch-up episode where the guys catch up and just talk random stuff for a little while. We hope you enjoy this, and we should now things have settled down the Twitchcast will be more regular.

GRcade Twitchcast Episode 14 - Arnie-mal Crossing!

Today's hosts are Doom and Pedz
With E3 mere days away you can guess what the chat is about, right? Well, you'd be correct in thinking it's the Ghostbusters remaster. Pedz brings up the remaster and Doom asks things like what generation would Pedz buy a remastered game of. The discussion is about remasters in general in the end, not just Ghostbusters.

You'd also be correct in thinking Doom and Pedz talk about the baffling decision Nintendo has made with regards to online friend play in Super Mario Maker 2. Truly bizarre and the reason, doesn't add up.

After that that Pokémon is discussed (You guess that?) With the Pokemon Direct the day before this Episode was streamed. Doom disagrees with Pedz on the better-looking wolf, but surprisingly, people agree with Pedz (It's surprisingly cause Pedz is normally always wrong) and both are pretty impressed with how it's looking, also... Why Wolves? Red Squirrels, they'd get, Wolves? Not so much.

Lastly, you, you guessed it, Google's Stadia. A mere couple of hours before the stream went live. Google had its own with some Stadia chat. Both hosts are interested, but there are concerns which Doom has more and the concerns are higher, while Pedz while having concerns feels that they could be levelled at Netflix and the like and yet people lap that up.

Okay, okay. We do then jump into Pre-E3 chat, what we want, what we think we'll see, but the guys find it difficult with thinking of things due to the winding down of the current gen of consoles it's difficult to think of things you want over the next year when within 2 years we're all (maybe/probably/more than likely) getting our shiny new consoles.

This episode is a doozy though and comes in at over 3 hours long. Hope everyone enjoys this as much as Doom and Pedz enjoy doing them!

Don't forget, you can always tune in live to the GRcade Twitch channel for these episodes, plus various game streams.

GRcade Twitchcast Episode 13 - Kil-ing Time with Doom and Pedz

Doom and Pedz are joined this week by Captian Kil for his first Twitchcast appearance.

This week the chat is all about:

Super Mario Maker 2 and the latest Direct. Honestly the direct isn't spoke about too much, it's mainly Doom, Kil and Pedz talking about if it looks like a significant upgrade or if it should have been Super Mario Maker Deluxe.

Next up is Sony and Microsoft teaming up and Maybe Nintendo using Azure for streaming games.

Kil catches us up on City of Heroes and Villains, which has recently come back to for all to play and for free.

Doom brings the Playdate and Huawei into the conversation with how interesting the former looks and hipster-ish, while Huawei has been great for him and he's hoping things will be changed back so he can have more Huawei devices.

Kil tells us about his visit to the V&A exhibition in Dundee. It's sounding pretty ace.

When then talk a little about games we've played, though it's pretty brief, most talk is about Sea of Thieves and how Doom and Pedz view the game differently.

GRcade Twitchcast Episode 12 - A Car Ride and Awkwardness!

Doom and Pedz are the hosts this week.

There is a point where Doom has to leave but joins via his phone on HANDS-FREE to continue talking, but for a short period of time Pedz is left on his own. While Pedz likes talking he feels that he needs a person to bounce off and being alone is where the awkwardness of the title is from. Silly Pedz.

Big 3 under UK investigation over online games and services

Someone beat Mario 64 in 70 hours... With 1 Button?!

Prince Harry wants Fortnight banned :/

Borderlands 3 will have the best gun ever and Rage 2 has the best cheat ever. A little about some cool little odd things in games.

Microsoft set to reveal Game Pass ultimate, which is both Game Pass and XBL Gold and will be cheaper than being bought separately.

And then there's the Xbox Live Gold price increase in the UK only, Wonder what is the cause of this....?

GRcade Twitchcast Episode 11 - Lots to Discuss!

Doom and Pedz are you hosts for Episode 11.

The guys talk about several things, Monolith Soft and Zelda, where speculation is made on their involvement, and where the Zelda franchise will go after Breath of the Wild, as well as what we would like to see and if we'd be willing to go back to a more focused Zelda game.

Next is the Sega Mega Drive Mini. A little chat is had about this, Pedz even pre-ordered his.

Then Switch online and Amazon are mentioned before talking about the 2 supposedly leaked Switch models.

Lastly, talk is on Sony's State of play, Driveclub going bye-bye and then Elder Scrolls Granny.

GRcade Twitchcast Episode 10 - Stadia and Nindies!

First off I need to apologise for the technical difficulties during the stream, This Podcast is streamed live on Twitch and all the members who take part use Discord due to being in different locations across the UK. The problems were many with Discord and voices cutting out, if it was recorded and streamed, there wouldn't have been any change in the problems due to it being via Discord, and the one time the stream cut out meant things weren't caught and again if it was being recorded it wouldn't have been picked up as Discord itself disconnected. Again, I can only apologise for this, but I guess this is one of the biggest obstacles of doing a podcast live on Twitch. It hasn't been a problem until now, and I think the fact that the Podcast is interactive with the audience as it's streamed makes up for that, so I hope you all still enjoy this episode and let's hope to technical difficulties doing one and not coming back.

The hosts this week are DoomSpoon, Jazzem, Legendary Slam, Lord Aten and Pedz.

he guys all chat about the news of Google and their entry ion the gaming space with Stadia, views are mixed on this. There are good and point points brought up by everyone.

Then talk goes into The latest Nintendo Indie Developer Direct, where only Doom, Jazzem and Pedz discuss this. One guy is underwhelmed, can you guess who?

GRcade Twitchcast Episode 9 - Driveless, Porting and Responsibility

This week your hosts are Doom and Pedz and joining is newcomer Lord Aten.
After a couple of weeks of being unable to do the GRcade Twitchcast, Doom and Pedz get together with Lord Aten and get Episode 9 underway.

The team talk about The Xbox One that's coming out fairly soon which will not have a disc drive. It will be an all-digital home console, we ponder how successful it will be and whether they release the NeXtbox with 2 SKU's one with and one without a disc drive, ould we buy it.

The second topic of discussion is about the Halo Master Chief Collection coming to PC, the fact it's coming to PC is what a lot asked for, and we kind of expected it, but the surprising thing is it's coming to Steam, a rival PC store.

Lastly, the topic turns to the reception that 'Anthem' has gotten and how 'The Division 2' is getting a better one, and the chat does get a little heated as Doom and Pedz are in a little disagreement about responsibility behind a game's failure.

GRcade Twitchcast: Episode 7 - Game Of The Year 2018 Results!

This week the hosts are Doom, Pedz and for the first time SerialCeler.
This week the good folk of GRcade talk a bit about the release of Resident Evil 2 Remake and a little about the series in general, we also delve into the recent Nindies Direct (Nintendos Indie Direct.) Lastly, we talk about the Game of the Year awards. The awards are run by SerialCeler, and the voting is done by the members of GRcade.

It's a fun discussion about what we think may have been the reason for some of the votes, what we voted and why others may not have had the success we thought they may have had, there was also talk of winners from previous years. We also had a special moment in where Doom is asked his opinion by Celer and his reply is not what you expect. Sorry for the clickbait like sentence there, but it was a good moment and I don't want to spoil it for you.

Remember, we stream this live on Twitch and would be grateful for anyone who enjoys listening to come along and take part. It's what the Twitchcast is all about.

GRcade Twitchcast: Episode 6 - Break Ups and Mining!

The cast this week is Doom and Pedz with a dose of Jazzem about halfway through.

This week the members of GRcade discuss some of the recent gaming news is, things like Activision and Bungie splitting up and EA cancelling yet another Star Wars game. Along with the news, we discuss the data mining of the Switch and it's Snes games that may be coming to the online service. We talk a little about each game that is in the data mining information and a little bit of what we'd like, what other systems we'd like, the online service itself and then answer a few questions from the viewers in the Twitch chat.

GRcade Twitchcast: Episode 5 - And then there were two

This week the cast is Doom and Pedz.

This week the thought was 'there's only 2 of us, let's do something a little different.' Basically, it was a little interview with Pedz asking Doom a little about his gaming history and just a little trivia, nothing too invasive, but a friendly chat about who is Doom?

While there are a few questions, some are short like 'What is your favourite film?', others are a little longer and go into more depth like the question 'What is your favourite Pokémon game and why?

GRcade Twitchcast: Episode 4 - The Year Ahead

This week we have returning Casters Doom, Kriken and Pedz

The topics of discussion are what we are looking forward to, our gaming resolutions and our 2019 predictions.

We all have a few games we are looking forward to, with too many to talk about. We have very similar resolutions towards the gaming habits we have and it's needless to say that our predictions will, no doubt, be very wrong.

Hope you all enjoy and Don't  forget to check out grcade.co.uk!
