GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 21 - Simply Chatting Games

This week Victor Mildew and Pedz start the GRcade Twitchcast and The Doom Spoon joins a little later into the show.

The topic of conversation starts with Victor detailing his experience with Borderlands 3 and how he and his wife have enjoyed playing it together, even though there were issues with the game on a technical level, along with how he thinks the game compares to the previous 2 in the way the game plays and if anything has really changed from the last 3 borderland games... BUT, what about all those guns? Did they change things up for Victor and Mrs Victor or did they simply select the guns that do the most damage and the wackier items go unused? Well, Victor does tell you about this too.

After Borderlands 3 chat Victor is eager to talk about his experience with Luigi's Mansion 3. He says he has yet to finish the game but believes it's worth talking about. The previous Luigi's Mansion games are talked about and Victor explains if the LM3 is like the first 2 in how they play, while also explaining about how Luigi's Mansion turned his head towards the Game Cube.

Talk moves over to a retro title that Pedz has played and finished recently. The game is Super Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. Pedz had played a few levels in the past but didn't really give a long session. Victor is also a fan of the game, and both discuss how it differs to Mario Land 1 & 2 and how Wario's playstyle is a very interesting change from the norm with how Mario and Luigi are to play as. The ending is also talked about and we get to hear just what ending Pedz got.

Doom arrives during the Wario Land chat, but the topic soon moves to Sonic Lost World. This is a game that Pedz recently finished. It's a 3D Sonic game and that usually means the game is likely bad to very bad on the 'how good is this game?' scale. Pedz does have some positive things to say about this one though. Maybe playing Sonic 06 and Boom back-to-back broke his mind?

Unfortunately, this is where the wonderful Victor leaves us in this episode of the Twitchcast, but Pedz and The Doom Spoon carry on talking games and it's another game played by Pedz. The game is Paw Patrol On a Roll. Well, I don't know what Pedz was thinking he would get with the game, but, he certainly expected a game with a little challenge even if it is for young children, and who'd have thought there'd be SO MUCH voice acting? Pedz was shocked by all the chatter.

Doom finally gets to talking about one of the things he played recently, and the first game is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. He says there's the 'odd' glitch that is an issue, but overall the game is a positive experience for him.

We have Doom now talking about Ghost Recon Breakpoint, with the issues the game has, Ubisoft apologising for cocking up, but the chat generally turns to glitches, general issues, betas basically being demos before getting back on track.

Next up is a game called Farm Together, and this is an online game where you do farming and seemingly you can open or close our farm to random people to join in and help you out. How does Doom cope with randoms in his farm spending all of his money? There's a simple solution that seems like a really good way to keep things friendly and stop people from abusing your things.

Pedz leaves briefly here for a toilet break, but Doom keeps talking to chat and he is asked about Arsenal, as in the football team.

When Pedz gets back the focus shifts back to video games and chat asks what are the hosts thought's on if Activision were to sell the Single Player at the fraction of the price of the full game. Pedz and Doom have a short chat about it, and if they'd be more interested or willing to buy CoD if you could buy the game in 2 parts.

We then have the retro title that was meant to be talked about several weeks ago, but with Doom and Pedz having various things come up in real life it was always pushed back. Well, Kirby's Dream Course, which was chosen by Mattking85 in the twitch chat finally was discussed. The interesting thing is Doom and Pedz both had wildly different views on the game. Afterwards, a new retro game is chosen for Doom and Pedz to play. Doom has not played it, but Pedz has.

Lastly, there's a little chat about Pokemon Sword and Shield, which is out the next Friday after this was streamed.

If you want to check out the glitches mentioned by Mattking85, then go to GRview (http://grview.grcade.co.uk/uncategorize ... ting-games) and the link is in the article.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 20 - Enter the Dolphin!

Pedz is joined by Tafdolphin, who is making his first Twitchcast appearance. hough those that listened to the GRcade Podcast 2.0 will recognize Taf.

The conversations or at least the topics that are the main focus this week are a few games Taf and Pedz had played. Taf wanted to talk about Outer Worlds and a game called Disco Elysium. Comparing how the way conversation tree and action in games are done in both games and why he prefers the latter games way of doing it.

Pedz talks about a few games he played, but, but where horror games which also segued into the Horror/Halloween theme, which while a few days after Halloween had happened, the guys thought why not talk about horror. We all like horror, bar Doom, the baby.

The third topic sees Pedz and Taf talk about Blizzcon, which leads to a little political chat about Hong Kong and Blizzard's attitude and apology.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 19 - A Dmelly Solo Session!

This week the Twitchcast is hosted solo by The Doom Spoon.

This week Doom talks about Fortnite going offline. Is one of the biggest games at the moment going offline is a big risk?

Another thing that's talked about is Bethesda and id Softwares delay of Doom Eternal. Whether it's good, bad, necessary. If the delay and it still not being up to scratch will be worse than a no delay and it not being up to scratch.

There's a section of Doom checking some GRcade topics to see who smells, which is different, but, it's pretty fun.

The last topic is quite different from the norm. It's video game related, but, it's also very political in that it's about Blizzard and the banning of a Hearthstone player for speaking out against China's oppression of Hong Kong.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 18 - One Foot in the GRave!

The Doom Spoon and Pedz are joined by Victor for hosting duties.

This week the guys talk about the Pokemon 24 hour mystery stream and was it worth a 24-hour stream for what appears to be a reveal of a Galar variant of a generation one Pokemon?

The discussion then turns to the Fallout Legacy Collection. What are the thoughts of the guys? Does this sound good? Is it a coincidence that Obsidian's name game is being released on the 25th of October and this so happens to come out the same day?

Ubisoft and the Microtransactions in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the next topic of discussion. There are some mixed views on this.

Unfortunately, Victor had to leave due to the time and then remembering he works on a Monday and will be shattered, but Doom and Pedz continue to talk (do they ever stop?) and the conversation move's over to the GRcade Video Game Eliminator. The top spot is somewhat predictable, but, What does Doom think overall?

Playstation Now is also a topic tonight. The guys think Sony may have now realised that the service may be viable after looking at Xbox Gamepasses success.

Lastly, there's a little chat about Alphadream. They were the creators of the Mario and Luigi series but unfortunately filed for bankruptcy in the week.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 17 - The Name Will Come Later!

The hosts of this weeks GRcade Twitchcast are Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

This week the guys talk about the latest Playstation State of Play. The games they've shown, whether it was engaging enough did anything pique anyone's interest?

After that, the chat turns to the Inside Xbox Presentation and again similar things are discussed about this as they were the State of Play, were they more interested in this?

Lastly, it's been 2 weeks since Robocop Versus Terminator was picked as a game that both will replay and see if it still holds up and whether nostalgia is a back part of that. Both have played the game, but, does it hold up? Pedz also played the NES prototype game and that's rather different. During the podcast, there was footage from the game shown, which you can see on YouTube if you are interested in seeing some of the points made when looking at it.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 16 - The Root of All Evil!

The hosts of this weeks GRcade Twitchcast are Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

This week the conversation starts with the chat about The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. A game that Pedz has played back on the Gameboy and Doom is playing for the first time. The chat is more about the controversy surrounding the framerate issues, than the gameplay.

Moving on to the second topic is Untitled Goose Game, where Pedz talks briefly about his short play session on it. While Doom hasn't played it, he's got the game and is rather intrigued by it.

Then lastly we have The Guardians top 50 games of the 21st century to talk about. Unfortunately, the chat is rather quick as Doom had personal commitments and it resulted in Pedz just telling games to fuck off so they could move on quickly to another game.

GRcade Twitchcast - Episode 15 - Catching Up! (FIXED)

The hosts of this weeks GRcade Twitchcast are Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

It's been a while since the last GRcade Twitchcast, in fact, there hasn't been one since E3. Doom has been busy and has had a few issues and Pedz has been lazy. Basically, this is just a catch-up episode where the guys catch up and just talk random stuff for a little while. We hope you enjoy this, and we should now things have settled down the Twitchcast will be more regular.
